I just joined Plinky, a new WordPress service to help overcome writer’s block. It’s also a fun and interesting creative writing exercise that gets the thought process going on subjects that you might otherwise not consider. Or not consider writing about. Plinky poses a question or challenge, and you write your answer. If you have a blog and add it as a service connected to Plinky, you have the option for your answer to post to your blog.
This is my answer to the Wednesday, June 30 question:
If My Resources Were Unlimited, I Would…Create food pantries and shelters that would eliminate hunger and homelessness. I would do that by hiring people who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own to build warehouses, housing, and food stores. There would be temporary food pantries and housing provided for the workers during the building phase. Once the places were built, workers would continue to be employed to operate and maintain the facilities.
The food pantries and shelters wouldn’t be a free ride for laziness, but a means for those who really want to work and provide for themselves and their families. Employment resources and training would be provided, as well as adult education classes. Since resources are unlimited, background checks would be done on applicants to weed out those only looking for a free ride.
Children would always be fed and clothed, but not by giving the resources directly to deadbeat parents. Daycare centers would be provided for children of the parents employed by Project Unlimited Resources.
“If I Had Access To Unlimited Resources, I Would…” was the first Plinky question I answered, and it’s interesting to read the responses of others too. To try it yourself, just go to Plinky
Thanks for the heads up about Plinky. I’m going to look into that.
You sound like a giving person with a big heart. Your plan sounds awesome.

Wow! I thought of something totally different to do with my unlimited resources. Clearly you are a much nicer, and more giving person than I. I just thought about the handbags I could buy after I paid off all of my debt. Will have to check this Plinky out, thanks for sharing. Stopped over from SITS.
