This week’s Travel Theme photo challenge from Ailsa at Where’s My Backpack? is Transportation.
If you want to get from one side of a lake to the other, or just be transported to your favorite fishing spot, this boat will get you there. As long as you don’t mind rowing.
A foggy morning on the bay meant very few passengers for the Southern Belle’s early tour around the bay.
One friendly and persistent bird from a flock that joins the Belle’s tours. The canopy gives them a bird’s-eye view to watch for popcorn thrown into the water by the passengers.
Just in from a ride around the farm, this horse was ready for a snack after his saddle was taken off.
I don’t think he liked the flash of my camera.
In Amish communities a horse and buggy is the most common method of transportation, and the horses usually wear blinders to prevent distractions. The dark brown horse may not have been used to blinders yet, he was trying to see around them when people walked by.
The people who own this car were on a road trip, and had already traveled over 800 miles when this photo was taken. No air conditioning, and the heater didn’t work.
A more common sight on road trips is the SUV, a popular mode of transportation with its modern conveniences for comfortable travel.
See Ailsa’s and other Travel Theme photos here, and consider adding your own Transportation photos to the theme.
